tridemorph (CAS 24602-86-6) — Safety Data Sheet

Safety data sheet documentation for tridemorph (CAS 24602-86-6), compiled to REACH Annex II with classification read against the harmonised entry in CLP Annex VI (H360D, H332, H302, H315). Two options: a working draft sent by e-mail immediately, or a signed card issued within 72 hours of complete input. The item supplied is a document — MolGod.org does not sell, supply or ship chemical substances.

Free, and generated automatically from the sources listed on this page. No person has reviewed it, and it describes the substance in general — not your material, your process or your intended market.

Aucun envoi physique.

Ce que ce n'est pas

  • Ni substance chimique, ni échantillon, ni aucun bien physique.

Single substances. Mixtures on enquiry. One document, one language — additional languages are priced separately. Every version, including the Chinese one, is written to EU law — (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) Annex II and (EU) 2020/878 — and translated from it. The Chinese version is a reference translation, not a legally valid document for the Chinese market: an SDS for China must be compiled separately to GB/T 16483 and GB/T 17519.

About the downloads (Type of data: Predicted (calculated by nmrshiftdb2, not measured) — inferred: the source file carries no deposited measurement)
JCAMP: the NMRShiftDB file as received (JCAMP-DX 5.01 text). It is a peak list: chemical shift in ppm. MolGod adds header lines stating the type of data; the values are unchanged.
CSV: the same peak list in two columns. The second column repeats the shift value; it is not a signal intensity. Lines starting with # state the type of data.
PNG: a picture of the plot above, with the type of data written on it.
Use: where signals are expected or were reported (chemical shift positions). Not included or guaranteed: intensities, multiplicities, coupling constants, line shapes, and solvent or temperature unless stated. A predicted list is not a measurement and cannot serve as a reference spectrum for identity or purity testing. Downloads become active after Show.

Two guarantees, both with their limits stated

The Gap Report Guarantee

If the available evidence cannot support a defensible document for your CAS number and product specification, we will not invent the missing values. You receive a documented gap report and choose: a refund, store credit, or the report on its own.

A visible gap is worth more than a plausible number, because the plausible number is the one that fails when somebody checks it.

The Re-issue Promise

If a signed card is rejected by an authority or by a customer’s compliance officer on one of the points we checked and reported as passed, we re-issue it corrected at no charge and credit the original fee.

This covers the checks we performed and named. It does not cover registration status, tonnage, or your role in the supply chain — those are not ours to hold, and a guarantee that pretended otherwise would be worth nothing.

Can I import tridemorph (ISO) into the EU?

Placing tridemorph (ISO) (CAS 24602-86-6) on the European Union market requires a safety data sheet compiled to Annex II of REACH before the first consignment moves. For heterocyclic compounds, customs and carrier checks concentrate on active-ingredient and intermediate imports, where the classification stated in section 2 must agree with the harmonised entry in CLP Annex VI under index number 613-020-00-5.

How is tridemorph (ISO) classified for road, sea and air transport?

Section 14 for CAS 24602-86-6 carries the UN number, proper shipping name, class, packing group and environmental hazard where these apply. Where the substance is not dangerous for carriage, the section says so explicitly rather than being left empty — an empty section 14 reads as an omission, not as an absence of hazard.

Why a correct sheet stops being correct

Classification under CLP moves with each Adaptation to Technical Progress. A sheet for CAS 24602-86-6 written before the amendment that touched its entry keeps stating a classification the register no longer holds. Nothing in the document announces this — it reads exactly as it did on the day it was issued, which is precisely why revision dates are checked before content.

Which SDS sections decide whether a shipment clears?

The sheet for CAS 24602-86-6 must be read numerically rather than narratively; subsections carry the same weight as sections: an inspector seeking information under point 3.1 will not accept data presented within a paragraph elsewhere, regardless of that paragraph’s completeness. Completeness is initially assessed by structure, followed by content evaluation.

Identifiers that must agree

This substance is identified by three specific codes: the CAS number 24602-86-6, the Annex VI index number 613-020-00-5, and the name listed in the register. It is essential that these identifiers match, as any discrepancy represents the most subtle error in documentation. While individual documents may appear correct on their own, cross-verification can reveal that they refer to different entities.

What happens if a consignment of tridemorph (ISO) is refused?

Refusals related to tridemorph (ISO) typically arise from three main causes: outdated classification due to amendments, inconsistencies between transport data and shipping documents, and language barriers where the receiving authority does not accept the provided documentation. These issues are not apparent to a reader who perceives the document as professionally presented.

Aquatic hazard and disposal

Aquatic hazard classification (H400, H410) for CAS 24602-86-6 reaches beyond the label. It governs the environmental section of the safety data sheet, the disposal route stated in section 13, and in several Member States the reporting threshold for storage. Consignments carrying an aquatic hazard also attract marine pollutant marking when moved by sea.

Is tridemorph (ISO) classified as a CMR substance?

CAS 24602-86-6 is classified as a CMR substance (H360D). That status changes the obligations attached to every shipment: workplace exposure documentation, restrictions on supply to the general public, and substitution pressure from downstream users who must justify continued use. A safety data sheet for a CMR substance is read more closely than any other, because the classification itself invites scrutiny.

What must the label for tridemorph (ISO) contain?

The supply label for tridemorph (ISO) is generated from the same classification that drives the safety data sheet: pictograms selected by precedence, one signal word derived from the highest hazard class present, and the hazard statements H360D, H332, H302… reproduced in full. Where the container is too small to carry the complete set at a legible size, there are lawful ways to handle it and unlawful ones that look identical to a non-specialist.

What do customs check when importing tridemorph (ISO)?

When a consignment of tridemorph (ISO) is stopped at the border, the document examined first is rarely the invoice. It is section 14 of the safety data sheet and its agreement with the transport papers. A missing packing group, an absent UN number or a proper shipping name that contradicts the classification of CAS 24602-86-6 will hold the pallet regardless of how complete the remaining fifteen sections are.

Where is regulatory status recorded for tridemorph (ISO)?

Section 15 documents the regulatory status for tridemorph, detailing its inclusion on candidate lists, whether it is subject to authorisation or restriction, along with any applicable national regulations. This information is frequently requested by downstream users; providing a concise summary in a single document eliminates repetitive email exchanges with each customer.

Which GHS pictograms apply to tridemorph (ISO)?

The label for tridemorph carries GHS07 (exclamation mark), GHS08 (health hazard), GHS09 (environment), with the signal word Danger. These are not chosen by the supplier: CLP Annex VI states them for CAS 24602-86-6, and the precedence rules in Annex I decide which pictogram is dropped when two would say the same thing. A label showing a different set from the register is wrong even if every hazard statement on it is correct.

Accidental release and containment

Emergency procedures for tridemorph are designed for immediate action during an incident, with section 6 focusing on efficiency: outlining what should be evacuated, what materials are appropriate for containment, and which substances must not be used in the process.

What is the CLP classification of tridemorph (ISO)?

The harmonised classification for CAS 24602-86-6 carries 6 hazard statements: H360D, H332, H302, H315, H400, H410. In plain terms this means may damage the unborn child; harmful if inhaled; harmful if swallowed; causes skin irritation. A harmonised entry is binding across the Union — an importer may not soften it, and a self-classification that diverges from it will not survive an enforcement check.

What is the EC number for tridemorph (ISO)?

Alongside CAS 24602-86-6, this substance carries EC number 246-347-3 and Annex VI index 613-020-00-5. European documentation is built around the EC number as often as around the CAS: registration dossiers, the candidate list and customs systems key on it. A safety data sheet quoting only one of the two forces every downstream reader to look up the other.

Questions about documentation for tridemorph

Can I check whether my existing sheet is still valid?

Yes. A section-by-section reading against Annex II and the current harmonised entry establishes that in one pass, and a sheet that passes is reported as passing.

Do I need a safety data sheet to import tridemorph into the EU?

Yes. A sheet compiled to Annex II of REACH must exist before the first consignment moves, and it must be held by the entity placing the substance on the Union market.

What is the CAS number of tridemorph?

CAS 24602-86-6. In CLP Annex VI the same substance carries index number 613-020-00-5, and both identifiers should appear in the documentation.

Is tridemorph a CMR substance?

Yes. The harmonised classification places it among substances classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction, which changes workplace documentation and supply restrictions.

The document is generated by the MolGod engine from ECHA CLP Annex VI and the cited public sources, then read section by section by a qualified scientific reviewer with a degree in chemistry or a related scientific field.
The signature records that a qualified scientific reviewer read the document. It is not a government approval, not an ECHA approval, and not a legal certification — no such certification exists for safety data sheets in the EU. A signature does not by itself make a document legally valid or make your business compliant.

FAQ — questions fréquentes sur la PXRD
Why is the polymorphic form important for the pharmaceutical industry?
Different polymorphic forms of the same substance can have drastically different solubility, and through that different bioavailability of the drug. The famous case: ritonavir (Abbott, 1998) — Form II appeared during production, was 50% less soluble than Form I, which caused the product to be withdrawn and losses of ~250 million USD. The pharmacopoeias (USP, PhEur) require the polymorphic form to be specified.
What is the COD (Crystallography Open Database)?
COD is a free database of open crystal structures (crystallography.net/cod) with more than 533,000 entries. Every structure has a CIF file (Crystallographic Information File) with complete data: cell parameters, space group, atomic coordinates, publication DOI. The data is available under a CC0 licence (public domain).
What is PXRD and what is it used for?
PXRD (Powder X-Ray Diffraction) is an analytical technique in which X-rays are diffracted by the atoms of a crystal. The diffraction pattern (2θ angles and intensities) is unique to every crystalline substance and to each of its polymorphic forms — it acts as the crystal's "fingerprint". It is used to identify phases, purity and the polymorphic form of a sample.
What is the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD)?
The CSD (Cambridge Structural Database) is a commercial CCDC database with 1.3 million organic and metal-organic structures — the gold standard of crystallography. Every structure has a unique refcode (e.g. ACSALA01 = aspirin Form I). Access requires a licence (~USD 5,775/year academic). WebCSD (searching individual structures) and Mercury (visualisation) are free.
