This page explains who owns the content published on MolGod.org and what you may do with it. In short: our images and our safety data sheets are protected by copyright; our standard and engraved 3D-printable STL models are free to use under an open licence.

1. Images produced by MolGod Viewer
Molecular images on MolGod.org produced by MolGod Viewer — 3D model views (ball-and-stick, skeletal and space-filling) and 2D structure views — and MolGod Viewer itself are © 2026 MolGod.org. All rights reserved.
Each image is rendered by MolGod Viewer, our own software, from computed 3D coordinates published by PubChem. The images are procedurally generated; they are not created with generative AI.
You may link to any MolGod.org page and share its address. Copying or downloading the image files for reuse, publishing them elsewhere (in print, on websites, in slides, teaching materials or datasets), modifying them, using them commercially, and using them to train or evaluate machine-learning models all require our prior written permission. See how to request permission.
2. Safety data sheets and other documents
Safety data sheets, labels and other documents prepared by MolGod.org are © 2026 MolGod.org. All rights reserved. Customers who order a document receive the right to use it as described in section 7 of our Terms and Conditions. Any other copying or redistribution requires our prior written permission.
3. Free 3D-printable STL models
Our standard and engraved 3D-printable STL models are the only MolGod.org content we give away freely. A ready-to-print variant (model on a display base) is free only where its licence page says so. They are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-SA 4.0): you may download, print, modify and share them, including commercially, provided you credit MolGod.org and share your changes under the same licence.
The licence, provenance and attribution text for each model are on its licence page, for example benzene (CAS 71-43-2). The CC BY-SA licence covers the STL model files only. It does not cover images produced by MolGod Viewer or our documents. Preview images of these models (renders shown next to the model and on its licence page) are published under the same licence as the model.
4. Chemical data
Chemical facts such as formulas, identifiers, physical properties and computed coordinates come from public sources credited on each page, for example PubChem. We do not claim rights in those facts. Our selection, arrangement and presentation of them, and the texts we write, are protected as described above.
Some pages show 2D structure depictions retrieved from PubChem (National Center for Biotechnology Information). These depictions are not MolGod.org content and are labelled with their source; MolGod.org claims no rights in them.
5. How to request permission
To use an image or a document beyond what is described above, write to us through our contact page or at pure@molgod.org. Please include the CAS number or page address, the image or document you would like to use, and how you intend to use it. We reply to every request.
When permission is granted, credit the image as “Image: MolGod.org”, unless we agree otherwise.
6. Reporting misuse
If you find MolGod.org images or documents used without permission, please let us know through the contact page.
