Sixteen questions about what MolGod supplies, what it does not supply, and what a safety data sheet from us does and does not do for you. The answers are deliberately conservative: where something depends on your own assessment, we say so instead of implying that a purchased document settles it.
1. What does MolGod sell?
Regulatory documentation about chemical substances. Safety data sheets, certificates of analysis, print-ready CLP labels, compliance work and LIMS records. Every item in the catalogue is a document or a service delivered electronically.
2. Does MolGod sell chemicals?
No. We do not sell, supply, distribute, ship or stock chemical substances of any kind. When a page names a substance, the substance is the subject of the document being offered, never the thing being sold. If you need the material itself, you need a supplier or distributor; we are neither.
3. What is a safety data sheet?
A structured document that communicates the hazards of a substance or mixture and the precautions for handling it. In the European Union its form is set by REACH Annex II as amended by Regulation (EU) 2020/878: sixteen numbered sections in a fixed order, covering identification, hazards, composition, first aid, firefighting, accidental release, handling and storage, exposure controls, physical and chemical properties, stability, toxicology, ecology, disposal, transport, regulatory information and other information.
4. What is an SDS Working Draft?
A document generated automatically from our data layer, following the same sixteen-section structure. It carries a visible watermark and is not signed. It costs â¬49.99. It is intended as a working basis for your own review, not as a finished sheet to place on the market unchanged.
5. What does the Draft contain?
All sixteen Annex II sections, substance identifiers (CAS number, EC number where one exists, molecular formula, molar mass), classification read against CLP Annex VI where a harmonised entry exists, physicochemical values with the source attached to each value, and citations a reader can look up independently. Where a value is unknown or unverified, the document says so rather than filling the gap.
6. What does an Expert-Reviewed document mean?
It means the document has been read section by section by a qualified scientific reviewer with a degree in chemistry or a related scientific field, who has checked the classification, the values and the internal consistency of the sheet before it is issued. It costs â¬249.99, is returned within 72 hours and includes five rounds of revisions.
We deliberately do not describe this person as certified, licensed, accredited or ECHA-approved. No formal certification scheme for people who sign safety data sheets exists in the European Union, so any such word would be misleading.
7. Who is this documentation for?
Companies that place substances or mixtures on the EU market and need the accompanying paperwork: manufacturers, importers, downstream users, distributors, laboratories and the consultants working for them. It is business documentation, not consumer information.
8. How is the documentation delivered?
As a digital file, downloadable after purchase. Nothing is shipped. There is no physical product, no packaging and no transport involved in any order.
9. How quickly do I receive it?
A Working Draft is generated automatically and is available immediately after purchase. An Expert-Reviewed document is returned within 72 hours, because a person reads it.
10. Can I search by CAS number?
Yes. Entering a CAS number in the catalogue search takes you straight to the documentation for that substance when we hold it — for example 67-56-1 opens the methanol sheet. You can also search by chemical name. If nothing matches, the catalogue says so and invites you to ask for the documentation to be prepared.
11. Do I receive the substance itself?
No. You receive a document about the substance. The substance is not part of the order, is not dispatched, and cannot be ordered from us at any price.
12. Does buying a safety data sheet make my company compliant?
No, and we will not claim otherwise. A safety data sheet is one element of a wider set of duties. Compliance depends on your role in the supply chain, your registration and notification obligations, your own risk assessment, how you label and package the material, how you train the people handling it, and how all of this is documented. A document supports that work; it does not replace it and it does not certify it.
13. Who is responsible for compliance?
You are — the legal entity placing the substance or mixture on the market. Responsibility cannot be transferred by purchasing a document from a third party. We prepare the paperwork to the best of the data available and mark clearly what has and has not been verified, so that your own assessment starts from a defensible position.
14. Which jurisdictions are covered?
The documents are structured for the European Union: REACH Annex II format, CLP classification and, where applicable, ADR transport information. They are not written to the format of any other jurisdiction. If you need a sheet for a market outside the EU, tell us before you order so we can say whether we can help.
15. Can I request documentation for a specific substance?
Yes. If a substance is not in the catalogue, write to us with the CAS number and we will tell you whether we can prepare the documentation, on what data, and how long it will take. We will also tell you when we cannot — for example when the underlying data is too thin to produce a sheet worth defending.
16. What is the refund policy?
Digital documents are delivered immediately, so the position differs from physical goods. Where a document has not yet been delivered, or where it does not match what was ordered, contact us and we will resolve it. Where a document has already been downloaded and matches the order, a refund is not automatic. The full terms are set out in our Refund and Returns Policy, which is the binding version.
